Direct Mounted ECU Concept

This is a design example of an engine-mounted ECU.
Generative design methods were used to reduce materials and improve vehicle fuel consumption, which reduce the societal problem of environmental load.
The design rules of this case blended minimal geometrical shapes to cover the circuit board and organic shapes that provide both heat radiation efficiency and a lighter weight. This made it possible to design shapes that have a sense of unity as a series while still being individually optimal for models with different sizes and thermal locations.
As a result, the required cooling effect was ensured while realizing a weight reduction of 12% compared to the existing case.
