Looking from the outside, one never knows whatʼs going on inside the discreet DENSO. DENSO works quietly for the good of people. In collaboration with the historic Noritake in Nagoya, designers held an exhibition to show DENSO to its end users. The attractions of Japanese industrial manufacturing culture were delivered through dialogues with more than 17,000 local visitors.
The Beginning of Manufacturing
The Early Start of DENSO Employees
DENSO employees start their day early. They join the commuting lines, ready to create.
DENSOʼs Commitment to Quality
In 1961, DENSO was awarded the prestigious Deming Prize for quality control. The all-employee effort towards this award laid the foundation for todayʼs "quality first" philosophy and culture. The names of all 5,136 employees who worked tirelessly to improve quality are engraved as a testament.
Crafting Our Own Tools
Pursuing optimal material compatibility, processing precision, and durability, we handcraft the best tools for each application.
Making Beautiful Parts
High-precision, high-quality parts are also aesthetically pleasing. This beauty is achieved in the final polishing stage of parts manufacturing. After machine work, skilled hands meticulously polish the parts to perfection.
Making Everything Ourselves
In the 1970s to early 1980s, we even made our own manhole covers with the DENSO mark, distinguishing them as DENSOʼs.
