In-vehicle refrigerator For the Hino Profia2014
The hybrid systemʼs regenerative energy is converted into electricity for the refrigerator, an industry first, enabling the achievement of a heavy-duty refrigerated vehicle (8-11t) refrigerator condenser with significantly improved fuel economy.
Exploring ways to improve fuel economy aerodynamically as well, we aimed for an integrated form for the wind deflector, refrigerator and roof rack. The configuration was investigated for form expression and aerodynamic optimization to showcase the new technology.
