Hamanako Training Institute AQUAWINGS Sign Project2016
This sign project was for a global research institute and recreational facility.
The concept of the building was "contour lines" to give the appearance that land was carved from a mountain and then restored to its original state. To match this concept, the signs and pictograms of the project were developed while borrowing from the shape of the building and the font of the facility name. The simple circular signs come together with the curved architectural space to guide visitors the right way.
