A driver status monitor for large cars that records the driverʼs face using an infrared camera to detect the openness of the eyes and the orientation of the face.
The device was designed not to appear as a "surveillance camera" to reduce the mental stress of the driver being observed by the camera. Partitioning the lens surface and putting in slanted lines makes the flat lens multifaceted and changes the appearance.
The slanted lines suppress the effects of infrared LED lighting inside the camera and also increase detection precision.
