MONO-COTO CHALLENGE AICHI2025.03.06

On Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15, we co-hosted a design thinking workshop for junior and senior high school students in collaboration with Creation Drive.

Under the theme "Giving Aichi's Junior and Senior High School Students a Firsthand Experience of How Creativity Can Change the World," we held a value-creation workshop at DENSO's Nagoya Office.

Nearly 80 students from 64 schools across Aichi Prefecture and neighboring regions formed cross-school teams to participate in this two-day program. Through DENSO's approach to design thinking (HX), they learned the basics of generating ideas and gained the confidence that "with the right methods, I too can create new value."

The workshop theme was "Things That Move to Make Life More Comfortable." Students expanded their perspectives from their own daily lives to consider people and communities beyond their immediate surroundings, creating ideas that addressed wider societal needs.

Throughout the program, teams eagerly embraced the mindset of "just try it--keep making, keep creating," actively enjoying the process together. All teams successfully completed prototype development by the end.

We will continue promoting co-creative activities through DENSO-style design thinking (HX), where people with diverse values come together to create meaningful solutions.

※ DENSO-Style Design Thinking (HX):
An approach cherished by the DENSO Design Division that goes beyond user-centered thinking to pursue design that also considers society as a whole and the global environment.
